by Rick Brown and Mike Stax
To this end Richard has teamed up with noted Rock
Historian, Mike Stax. Rick & Mike have used their combination
of musical and writing skills with a view to enabling producers
to create a truer than life vision of the implications of wars and
the simultaneous hippy movement.

Mike Stax is the editor and publisher of Ugly
Things Music Magazine, focusing on the greatest, overlooked
bands of the 1960s and other "wild sounds from past dimensions".
Published since 1983, Ugly Things is considered one of the world's
premiere publications on the music and culture of the 1960s. He
has been researching the story of Rick Brown and the Misunderstood
for over five years, the first two installments of which were recently
published to unanimous acclaim.
In the last decade or more Stax has worked as a writer, editor and
consultant on several music biographies and reference books. He
has also provided liner notes for dozens of reissues, including
the track-by-track liners for the two best selling Nuggets box sets
on Rhino Records. His work has also appeared in numerous magazines
and periodicals. Born in England in 1962, he currently lives in
San Diego, California with his wife, Anja. |
